About Mathadhikari

A brief introduction about mathadhikari Vid. Satyavijayacharya is in order. Acharya is a graduate of twelve years of intense shastradhyayana at Sri Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha, Mumbai, under the tutelage of Vid. Vidyasimhacharya Mahuli, who, as may be known to many of you, is one of the great scholars of our times. It is at this very vidyapeetha that Sri Satyatma Teertha Sripadaru undertook his shastrabhyasa as well Vid. Satyavijayacharya has comprehensively studied Vyakarana, Vedas, Vedanta and the Bhashyas of Srimadacharya to the Prasthanatrayi (Upanishads, Geeta and Brahmasutras), finally culminating in an in-depth study of one of the brightest jewels of the Madhwa Siddhanta crown, Sri Jayateertha's Sriman-Nyayasudha, and an interpretation-cum-viva voce of the same, termed famously amongst pundit-circles as "Sudha-Mangala".

Acharya resides in Satyavijayanagara, a small village near Vellore in Tamil Nadu, where he runs a one-man show. He is responsible for managing and running the Uttaradi Matha, and more importantly, worshipping the brindavana of Sri Satya Vijaya Teertharuru, one of the most prominent yatis in the Uttaradi Matha lineage, and even host many pilgrims who visit the brindavana.
